Fontaines D.C.

In just a few years, Fontaines D.C. have gone from being part of the Dublin post-punk scene to becoming one of the world’s most successful rock bands. They are returning to Germany in November with their fifth studio album, *Dopamine Chamber*.

Since their acclaimed debut, *Dogrel* (2019), the band have continually evolved their sound. It was with *Romance* (2024) – featuring the hit single *Starburster*, two Grammy nominations and platinum status in the UK – that Fontaines D.C. achieved their international breakthrough.

The new album, “Dopamine Chamber”, is due for release on 16 October via XL Recordings and has once again been produced by James Ford. Musically, the quintet moves between art-pop and post-punk: synthesisers and electronic elements take centre stage, lending the sound a fresh atmosphere. The first single, “Marianne”, already offers a taste of this next chapter for the band.
